Before and after makeover photos for each model.
Cycle 8 - The Girl Who Cries All Time - Summary
They finally got their makeovers! Jael had her hair originally in a weave with long extensions, but Jay told her that they were going to get rid of that and keep her hair ultra short and warm brown. Renee got a short, blonde cut, while Natasha went dark chocolate brown with a pretty angular cut. Brittany also got a weave and extensions and fiery red hair. Jaslene’s makeover didn’t seem to change her too much, just added volume and shortened her locks. Sarah’s cut simply changed into a dirty blonde. Whitney got longer extensions, but still very similar to her original style. Diana was given more blonde and some length to her hair, while Felicia was given short bangs and longer dark hair. Cassandra now sports a big, curly afro, and Dionne’s makeover didn’t change her too dramatically, longer length for the most part.

Cycle 8 - The Girls Who Go to Prom - Review
When the girls first started learning the “complicated” three-girl runway walk, they seemed to be getting the hang of it - for the most part, the girls seemed to know what they were supposed to do and were doing it. However, it was a completely different story once they were on the actual fashion show runway in front of an audience. So many of the ladies nearly collided as a result of inattention to their position relative to the other two near them. Jaslene kept walking instead of letting one of her runway buddies cross, while Natasha fell behind and did not look to see where she was or where the others were.
Cycle 8 - America’s Next Top Model Eliminee… Samantha
Article/interview by Belinda Trotter-James:
“Samantha is the second contestant to loose a chance at becoming America’s Next Top Model. I must tell you that this year’s editing team is really on point. They took an outgoing personality and portrayed her as a country pumpkin that never experienced life outside of Pinson, Alabama. Our conversation was lively and she explained everything with a hint of excitement. She was definitely nothing like the character portrayed on the show. Read on to see what we talked about…
Cycle 8 America’s Next Top Model Eliminee… Kathleen
Article/interview by Belinda Trotter-James:
”Oh my goodness. This interview was brutal. Kathleen is the first contestant to get booted off America’s Next Top Model and you will soon find out why. I tried to get a clue as to if Kathleen was portrayed as a “Duh” on purpose or is she really a “Duh” off camera. This interview took approximately five minutes. I will not say another word… read on and you be the judge….

Cycle 8 - The Girl Who Won’t Stop Talking - Review
Instead of reviewing each bit and piece of the two-hour season premiere, I’d much rather make commentary on the final thirteen.
Brittany: I do not know exactly why Brittany was chosen, because without a handy make-up kit and artist around, I don’t find her to be particularly pretty or modelesque. She just looks very… country, to me. She lacks the sophistication in her face naturally, but when she takes a photograph, she definitely looks like a possible model you’d see in a magazine or a Ralph Lauren ad or something. I found she looked very classy in her shoot this episode, as well.
The Girls Who Go To Prom - Cycle 8
The episode begins with Miss J. leading a high school marching band onto a football field, while the contestants walk out onto the track. Miss J. decides it is time for the girls to practice their runway walk, and so the girls put on track shorts and oversized tshirts and begin practicing. Miss J. has them begin alone, and then he has three girls go at the same time, with the middle one stopping short, the outer two walk further past, cross over, and walk back, cross over, and then the middle one continues down the runway and strikes a pose.
